Welcome to a new blog series, where we will be looking at five ways to help you get more out of your piano practice time! A lot of you, especially teachers, may already know these tips. However, for kids, students, those newer to the piano, or those who simply were not taught these five tips, they can be invaluable for becoming a better pianist.
Now, I have to admit, I was one of those students who was told these five tips all the time and did not want to do them! As a lot of you may already know, I was taught by my grandpa. Having my teacher always close by and listening to my practice, I heard these tips a lot and did them for him. However, as I got older, I was able to begin to notice how much they really did help, especially on more difficult pieces. Over the next five blogs posts, we will reveal what each of these tips are, and I hope they help you get more out of your practice time!
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. -Colossians 3:23-24 ESV
Blessings,
Lily
