It is hard to believe that February is already coming to a close! Many pianists are already planning for learning new songs for the Easter season coming up soon. In this article, you can find some of the newest advanced Resurrection Day hymn arrangements we have published for 2025!
I arranged and released two new advanced arrangements this month. One of these was And Can It Be?, which was actually just finished at the end of February and is our newest advanced Easter hymn. I hope that this piece will be a fun one for you to play this year as an Easter special! Find sheet music for And Can It Be? here.
O Sacred Head, Now Wounded is another new Resurrection Day hymn arrangement this year. This song was the first piece of sheet music released this year. I arranged this hymn with Good Friday and Easter in mind, but it would also work well to play on a communion Sunday. The sheet music is late intermediate level, but also has some optional advanced notes to play that give more of a challenge for those looking for that. Find sheet music for O Sacred Head, Now Wounded here.
The tune HYFRYDOL has been the music behind very many lyrics, including I Will Sing of My Redeemer, and Our Great Savior (also known as Jesus, What a Friend for Sinners), both of which make great songs for the Easter season! This arrangement has been out for a while, but was only notated and released as sheet music recently. Find sheet music for Our Great Savior here.
I hope this list has been helpful for you!
