For the Beauty of the Earth is a beautiful Thanksgiving hymn that calls for mind all the wonderful things God has created and blessed us with, but most of all, the sacrifice He made for us. The tune by Conrad Kocher and lyrics by Folliet Pierpoint are a perfect pairing and make for a gentle, yet powerful hymn of praise to God!
About the Arrangement
Since I already had an advanced version of For the Beauty of the Earth in a medley with This Is My Father's World, I wanted to put together an easier, stand-alone version of the hymn. It didn't end up quite as easy as at first I probably had been hoping for, but it is still early advanced and doesn't have as many jumps and difficult manuevers as some of the more advanced pieces do. This makes it quicker to pull together for an advanced pianist and more playable for a late intermediate/early advanced player.
Sheet Music
The early advanced sheet music for For the Beauty of the Earth can be found on our website here: For the Beauty of the Earth - Digital Sheet Music. For those who don't prefer to use background tracks and like to use just the piano, please know that I do my best to make every arrangement playable and full-sounding without a background track! In the case of this track, the orchestra adds some extra sparkle and depth to the music, but you can definitely use the sheet music without the background instrumentation.
For the month of November, if you purchase the individual digital sheet music for For the Beauty of the Earth, the background track will be added to your cart for FREE! All you have to do is add the sheet music to your cart and the background track will be automatically added. This special expires at midnight on November 30th, 2026.
